LERN’s primary criterion in selecting exemplary programs is the quality of being at the leading edge of the field of lifelong learning. In addition, the following criteria are considered: originality, innovation, appropriateness and adaptability as a model for other programs, and measurable outcomes.
- Winners are announced at the LERN Conference, attended by more than 800 lifelong learners from around the world!!
- Press releases are provided for local and regional media.
- Information on winners as well as all submissions are featured on the LERN web site
- Full-page articles appear in issues of the LERN member magazines
