It saves staff time.
Consistency in design specifications for your brochure, web and emails saves you time. Copy and photos need to change every time. But the specifications in design should remain the same. When you change the design, you spend more time.

It is more effective.
A consistent design is more effective.
Quite simply, some designs work better than others. LERN has researched what works with brochure, email and web design. Innovation in design usually means creating something less effective. Being original is not necessarily the goal, especially if it means fewer registrations and less income than following the guidelines for success.

Image impressions.
A consistent design is more likely to create a brand image, enhance recognition and retention, and create a positive image in the minds of your customers.
Again, photos change every time your brochure comes out. But the design specifications should stay the same.

Save time, be more effective, and create a better marketing image by being consistent in your design specifications.

Recently we received a great brochure with a good brochure cover photo from a lifelong learning program. We immediately went to the program’s web site, and found something different.

We expected to see the brochure cover photo replicated on the web site. That would create a better marketing image, be more effective in promoting registrations, and of course have saved staff time.
