Although we battled a major rainstorm in the afternoon, the Quaker Meeting Annual Book Fair was once again a big success. Over 20,000 donated used books were purchased and already people are dropping off books for the 2014 Book Fair. During the year along with Members from our Monthly Meeting, I sort and price books for the Book Fair. A great diversion from the tasks of daily work and home life. The Book Fair is a great community building experience for our Monthly Meeting and demonstrates the generosity of the people in our community. Even with the advent of eBooks, people are looking for book deals and many gems that had been gathering dust on someone else's shelf.
