Visuals are an important part of the learning experience, and being able to enhance those visuals can improve the experience for the instructor and the learner, too.

The 2014 LERN Annual Conference, Nov. 21-23 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin in Orlando, Florida, has a lot in store, including a brand new, one-time pre-conference session on Designing Visuals and Multimedia for Deep Learning.

Led by Diana L. Howles, president of Howles Associates, Designing Visuals and Multimedia for Deep Learning shows you how to transform text bullets into engaging visuals and more effectively craft multimedia-based content.
From this pre-conference session you will take away:

  • Effective visual design examples

  • Tools to blend audio and interactive multimedia to leverage deeper learning

  • Strategies to apply to classroom and online visuals

  • The know-how to design your own visuals

Howles, who is a specialist in multimedia communication solutions such as visual design and presentation, has more than 25 years experience in education and training. Her teachings on design principles are evidence-based and use leading-edge technologies.

The pre-conference session takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. Cost to attend is $295. Register for Designing Visuals and Mutlimedia for Deep Learning today.
