After the LERN Annual Conference, I traveled to Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) to do a Program Review of their Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL). CLL transitioned from SBCC’s Continuing Education Unit two years back to run as a third pillar of SBCC and start charging fees to move to financial self-sufficiency.

The work done by Andy Harper and his CLL Team is amazing and after two years they are positioned as one of the best community education programs LERN has reviewed. Andy and his Team focused on implementing LERN best practices and measuring up to LERN benchmarks.

With the implementation of Program Review recommendations, the future is even brighter for CLL!
